A fabulous Antique pair of French Suffragette earrings set with a large Green Peridot at the top, a white Diamond below and a violet pear cut Amethyst set in the dropper below.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The earrings are both 15ct Yellow Gold with wonderful engraved patterning and French hallmarks upon the hook clips. They’re in excellent condition and look beautiful dangling from each ear.
